Welcome to the East Neuk of Fife
St Andrews and the delightful fishing villages of the East Neuk of Fife offer visitors a wonderful variety of quality self catering holiday cottages. Our self catering holiday cottages - The Den and The Moorings - are no exception, providing fresh, contemporary, yet cosy self-catering holiday cottage accommodation that is ideal for holidaymakers wishing to visit St Andrews and the East Neuk.
Pittenweem Harbour
The Den, Crail
Crail Harbour

The Den, in the heart of Crail, is located within a quiet courtyard in the village's conservation area, just a few minutes' walk from the picturesque harbour, with a variety of shops and places to eat close by.

Crail offers an ideal holiday base for golfers. The superb choice of courses available locally includes Kingsbarns, seven courses in St Andrews including the Old Course and, only a little farther afield, Carnoustie, venue of the Open in 1999 and 2007.

The Moorings, in the ancient Royal Burgh of Pittenweem, is only yards from the seawall and close to the Fife Coastal Path, the bustling and colourful fish market, and the town’s many delightful wynds. Nearby, tiny coves and beaches provide quiet resting places to enjoy the superb sea views. The town has a number of art and crafts galleries to browse at leisure and the Pittenweem Arts Festival in August brings noted artists and art lovers from far and wide.

The East Neuk boasts a network of walks and cycle trails, as well as boat trips, visitor attractions and historic places of interest. Edinburgh, Dundee, Stirling and Perth, the 'Gateway to the Scottish Highlands', are all within easy reach. For the less energetic, the little towns and villages of Fife provide wonderful shopping. Many of the small independent retailers, particularly those selling arts and crafts, offer a refreshingly different shopping experience from the one on offer in our city high streets. If you wish to eat out, food lovers will relish the choice of excellent seafood restaurants.

We are confident that Driftwood Holidays offers excellent self catering holiday cottage accommodation, but you don't need to take our word for it. Here is what just one guest said: 'The apartment is lovely. We will be recommending it to family and friends and will definitely be back!'. You can read other guest comments in our news section.
