What Our Guests Say

Lovely imaculate

  • A lovely traditional cottage in a small courtyard of properties. Not overlooked. Cosy and warm with a wonderful wood burner. It has everything you could possibly want from a ipod dock to a cheese grater. We never found anything we needed that was not there. Not a spec of dust anywhere. A perfect retreat for a family and really close to get to lots of attractions. We hope to return. Owners really helpful and friendly. Thank you so much!

Excellent well  equipped cottage

  • Thank you for the use of a beautiful and well equipped cottage. The cottage was warm, homely, spotless and had everything we required. It was a perfect base for walking the coastal path and visiting Hartland Abbey! We enjoyed a wonderful break from the busyness of life and after a day's walking it was reassuring we can return to the cottage knowing we would be comfortable and relaxed. I would happily recommend the cottage. The owners Jane and Paul have been excellent with correspondence and have given us all the information we have needed. Nigel and Sarah M

Great time

  • We had a lovely time staying at Driftwood the property is well catered for with everything you would need for a great holiday.Especially the wood burning stove.Instructions to find the property were very good as we found it in the dark with no problems. We were blessed with lovely weather and it made the views more spectacular,as at night no clouds to spoil the wonderful sight of the stars. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay and will no doubt be booking again in the future.A must to see is Hartland Quay which has the most breath taking views of the rugged coastline.

Beautiful Escape

  • I couldn't fault the beautifully decorated interior of this restored cottage. It was modern and welcoming when we arrived after driving most of the day. The two bedrooms suited us very well and we were provided with provisions to make a welcome cup of tea. Attention to detail including seasonal Christmas decorations and even a small gift was unexpected and a lovely surprise. We found the location very suitable for exploring this part of North Devon. We enjoyed exploring the nearby coastal towns in particular Bude and Boscastle. We found so many interesting day trips from here. I have no hesitation in recommending this cottage to those wishing to explore this beautiful part of the country. Thank you Paul and Jane.

A week at Driftwood Cottage Devon

  • A very smart cottage with all the necessary fittings and in a lovely location. Although the weather was very unkind to us during our stay, we managed to visit many attractions and venues across Devon and Cornwall. It was a pleasure to return to this lovely cottage at the end of each day to relax and when possible sit out and enjoy the spectacular views. This is an ideal base to explore the region and I thoroughly recommend it.
